In 1979, Bob Izumi became Canada’s first full-time professional fisherman. Since then he has become Canada’s most authoritative sport fishing expert, Canada’s most successful tournament fisherman, respected author, seminar speaker, conservationist, television personality, radio show host and successful businessman. Bob Izumi’s special gift and passion for his sport puts him in a league all his own.
Together with his brother Wayne, Bob grew Izumi Outdoors into Canada’s leading entertainment, education and information source for the sport of fishing Whether they’re hosting a forum on all topics related to fishing or publishing reviews of the newest gadgets, Izumi Outdoors delivers its product—entertainment, education and information—with integrity and to the highest standards possible.

In 2002 Fishing Forever teamed up with Bob Izumi, the Police Association of Ontario and Canadian Tire to create a grassroots program, “ Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days” that encourages youngsters to go fishing.
